1520s Spanish replica spice ship arriving in London today (will go through Tower Bridge, moor at St Kat’s, can go aboard)

The Nao Victoria is a Spanish replica tall ship which is visiting London for two weeks from today. You ll be able to go aboard from tomorrow and can buy tickets in advance or on the day. The ship has just left Gravesend and is now heading upriver towards her berth at St Katharine Docks marina [ ]

Greenwich ‘port’ for Viking Cruises (and other cruise ships) – hopefully helpful info for passengers

Viking Saturn has just left Dover (actual time of departure 18:28 Thu 11 June) and is due to arrive in Greenwich tomorrow morning (possibly 4am, possibly 11am see below). Saturn will remain in port until very late on Sunday evening / Monday morning (departing 00:30 on 15th June) so plenty of time to see [ ]

Viking cruise ships visiting Greenwich

At about 2am last night I toyed with the idea of staying up late and perhaps even popping into Greenwich to watch Viking Vela, the cruise ship due to arrive at 3.15am (thanks to Port of London Authority s ship movements and cruise diary), actually arriving and mooring near the Cutty Sark. London Marathon on Sunday (26 April 2026) – check bus / rail diversions & road closures if spectating

Blackheath and Greenwich already have the metal barriers piled up waiting to be connected together to reroute runners, pedestrians, spectators and traffic see pics at the end. A steward at Greenwich Park told me yesterday that the park would be closed to the general public until midday but I ve not found any information to [ ]

Go and enjoy the blossoms, full details here. See also the Locations / Map tab in the menu for more detailed info. There are apparently lots of newly planted trees (as of last year) on the slopes of Greenwich Park but I have not investigated these yet.

Visit Trinity Buoy Wharf from Blackheath, free until April 2026, on the SL4
