I really do beat to the drum of every day being an opportunity to take the stage, decide who you want to be that day, and then get dressed. So here are a few characters that have been making their way into the world lately…
“City Streets & Black and White Read All Over”
Playing off my New Yorker tote (that I can’t stop carrying), I went for a head-to-toe black-and-white moment. I’d found this cool scarf medallion at Savers and loved the idea of looping a scarf through it for a statement moment at the neck.
Keeping things cool for a hot LA day, I paired Line By K shorts with a thrifted strapless top, then finished it off with some of my go-to accessories and strappy black sandals. (similar here)
“French Farm Girl Takes the Coast”
It felt like time to pull out the picnic bloomers that had been patiently waiting for their sunny day debut, and they ended up being the perfect pairing with my vintage floral apron.
I loved giving the look a sweet spin with a drop-shoulder puff sleeve blouse from Sézane, “basket-woven” gold sandals, and my new Maison Ola hat from House No. 23.
Very much French farm girl… who takes her look seaside.
“Grandpa’s Prom Tux Took the Day Shift”
I thrifted this cummerbund years ago, and it’s been sitting in my accessory collection calling my name… finally making its way into this quirky daytime tuxedo moment.
I went all in with a vintage blue tuxedo shirt, mens trousers, and snakeskin pumps. Then came the finishing touches to glam it up a bit…my tassel pendant, gold hoops, and burgundy Elleme bag.
You know… like you dug your grandpa’s tux out of the closet and brought it into the daylight.

FINDING MY FAVES: embroidered vest
The dress up closet has been feeling extra magical lately thanks to the addition of this beautifully embroidered vest from Ukrainian brand Etnodim. The kind of piece that instantly sparks all the outfit ideas the moment it enters the closet.
For its debut, I styled it with a cotton puff sleeve blouse and some menswear uniform trousers… creating a peplum moment.
If you’re in the mood to add a little magic to your own closet, Etnodim has so many beautiful pieces and I picked a few of my favorites for you to shop below.
