I have so much and nothing at all to write. I want to write at a higher quality, like I used to. I also am focusing on other things, so this isn’t a priority. But for now, here’s a list because it barely takes time to write and they’re fun to compile.

Oddly specific things I’ve been liking recently:

  • Jewelry over long sleeves, not under them.

  • Pedialyte freezer pops but unfrozen (This is my guilty pleasure, I love the chemical taste).

  • Study sessions in beautiful libraries at 2 AM.

  • Buying cute things with my own money.

  • Surprisingly, going to the gym with friends.

  • Cooking but only using an air fryer.

  • Doing makeup very poorly on my friends.

  • Frizzy hair.

  • Deep jewel toned clothing.

  • Competitive environments, I get bored if there’s no challenge or pressure.

  • Waking up early (I’ve never been a morning person).

  • Journaling without trying to sound intellectual.

  • Messy eyebrows.

  • The feeling after stepping out of transportation when you had motion sickness.

  • Going nonverbal in a car.

  • Making slideshows on social media.

  • Watching short clips of movies instead of actually watching the full thing.

  • Taking photos of my friends. I pride myself on being known as the friend if you want good photos.

  • Articulating something you’ve been trying to verbalize for years.

  • Writing and uncovering an internal thought pattern to fix that was harming you.

  • Being confused.

  • Entrepreneurship courses.

  • Python (a lot of it ties into linguistics somehow).

  • Making bad art.

  • Anti-lobotomies.

  • Code names.

  • Study sessions that involve food.

  • Acting with intention when compulsion feels easier.

  • Sunny days when there’s no wind.

  • When kids use brainrot humor or joke with me.

  • Empty campus.

  • Masjids with actually nice women’s sections.

  • Crocheting.

  • Checking my emails.
