Bibiana Gonzàlez Rave, working mainly in Sonoma County, is owner and winemaker for her labels Cattleya and Alma de Cattleya, named for an orchid that grows in her native Columbia. Her focus at Cattleya Wines is chardonnay and pinot noir from named appellations in Sonoma County; also on the roster is a syrah from the Soberanes Vineyard in Monterey County’s Santa Lucia Highlands. Alma de Cattleya is a second and less expensive label for chardonnay and pinot noir plus sauvignon blanc and a blended red wine, all carrying a general Sonoma County designation.
