In the clamorous roar of the world

David Bergsland · Biblical Reality Advice

Like me, all the commentators can say these days is, “I’m tired of waiting.” We desire to be with the Lord and let the world go where it wills. Soon, our Messiah will be on the throne in Jerusalem and we will experience His peace as government. Maranatha.

Everything is falling into place as prophesied and the world is oblivious. But then we have been told clearly about this truth:

So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God,
that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.
And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit,
interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit.
The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him,
and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2: 11b-14

We need to remember this as New Covenant believers. We have the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) living within us and we can see things that no one else can.

Paul told us, just before he explained what we call the Rapture, that we are to aspire to live quietly, to mind our own affairs, and to work with our hands. That has not changed. We are to pray that He will enable us to do what we have been given to do. At this time, more than ever, we need His anointing and power to do what we are called to do.

If you don’t believe in the Rapture, you will probably go through the final seven years—at least for as long as you survive. As far as I can tell it’s another walk of faith. Ask the Lord to show you the truth about your part in it all. He is the One with the Plan.

They won’t believe you unless the Holy Spirit touches them. I’m living with a group of around 150 people who are mainly nominal Christians and Jews—many quite religious. As far as I can tell there are less than a half dozen believers and they are all undercover on a practical level. They have no interest in prophecy, many mock. Yet, I’m convinced that the Lord has me here for a reason. He told me to move here.

So, for now, I pray and look for opportunities. I’ve always had a heart for people like this, so now I have a time to live it out. I imagine many of you have similar stories. I’m expecting that He will save everyone who allows Him to do so.

A few hundred here, a few thousand there, dribs and drabs because almost everyone who can be saved has been saved in America. My prayer is that He’ll be able to rescue several dozen here at the independent senior high rise. I pray that He blesses your efforts as well.

What a wonderful time to be alive!
