If Your Prayers Aren’t Being Answered... WATCH THIS

There are few things more discouraging than praying faithfully and hearing what feels like silence.

You’ve asked. You’ve waited. You’ve prayed again.

There’s an interesting pattern throughout Scripture.

Sometimes God’s provision arrives as a person’s attention turns toward someone else’s need.

Job desperately needed restoration, yet we’re told:

“And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends.”
— Job 42:10

The widow of Zarephath was running out of food herself, yet she shared what little she had with Elijah—and discovered that God could sustain her through the famine.

Hannah desperately wanted a son. But her prayer eventually became connected to something larger than herself:

If You give me this child, Lord, I will give him back to You.

Samuel was born. Hannah surrendered him to God’s service. And in time, God gave her three more sons and two daughters.

Now—here’s something important. This is NOT a formula. Generosity is not a coupon you cash in for the outcome you want. Job still lost his children. The widow still lived through the famine. Plenty of faithful, generous people never receive “the basics” in this life—and that isn’t a sign the doctrine failed them. Job was blameless and still suffered. Paul was generous and lived with a thorn. Serving others isn’t a transaction that obligates God. It’s simply how He shapes us to look like Christ—whose own road went through a cross, not around it.

There is something deeply biblical, then, about refusing to allow our own waiting to make us self-focused.

Maybe you’re praying for encouragement.
Encourage somebody.

Maybe you need a door opened.
Open a door for somebody else.

Maybe you’re asking God to provide.
Look for someone you can help with what you already have.

Jesus summarized the life of faith beautifully: Love God, and love your neighbor.

So while you’re looking up toward God with your prayer, keep looking around for the neighbor He has placed beside you.

Sometimes the most beautiful thing you can do while waiting for God to send the blessing… is become a blessing to somebody else.
