Mayim Bialik's Breakdown · Mayim Bialik's Breakdown

This is a big week over here at MBB. It is a set of really intellectually stimulating episodes we are dropping...

What do we do when we feel threatened?

Tomorrow, you’ll learn about a professor — Dr. Diana Walsh Pasulka — who is not afraid of anything — not even challenging thousands of years of religious history. Friday, we bring you Sarah Adams, a former CIA targeting officer, who has lived her life in some of the most dangerous situations imaginable.

These two women come from such different worlds: one academic, one intelligence. But both have spent their careers using all of their resources to maintain composure under pressure from some of the biggest hitters in their fields. It’s astounding to me.

I get bent out of shape if you don’t like the food at a restaurant we both decided to eat at. I’m uncomfortable if my cat isn’t as friendly to you when you meet them for the first time as I’d like her to be. I have even felt bad if the weather isn’t to your liking when you come to visit the city I live in!

I, for sure, could not challenge millennia of doctrine from the Catholic church. Dr. Pasulka does it with conviction, grace, and gravitas. I absolutely could not meet with some of the most dangerous terrorists in the world and pretend to be cool. I am not made for that.

The episodes this week are not just about threat or challenge. Dr. Pasulka is going to bring the science and sociology of aliens right into your lap from the viewpoint of doctrine many of us have been told to never question. Hot take: what if the Prophets of the Old Testament were actually being visited by non-human intelligent life? And Sarah Adams was made for a level of interrogation, scrutiny, and resilience that makes me want to rename my firstborn Sarah.

Enjoy this week, and look for places you may be experiencing threats... How do you react? How do you respond? And also: don’t apologize for the weather. It’s not about you! Have a great week, all!

Here at MBB, our morning rituals are sacred. And with MUD/WTR, we get our morning pick-me-up but without the jitters. I love the turmeric latte (with a little agave!) and have even noticed it makes a difference in decreasing my brain fog.

MUD\WTR’s new low-caf coffee has been Jonathan’s go-to for an afternoon pick-me-up. With its organic arabica coffee, Swiss Water decaf, L-theanine, and functional mushrooms like lion’s mane and cordyceps, you still get that rich, full-bodied taste coffee lovers crave, but with only 45mg of caffeine. Research shows low doses support focus, mood, and reaction time but without the crash or anxiety that can come with a full cup. Or if you’re looking for something gentler, try the original blend.

Every single ingredient in MUD\WTRs products are 100% USDA-certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan and kosher. There’s also zero sugar and no sweeteners added. To use MUD\WTR you simply drop the powder into your favorite mug, pour some water on it and give it a mix. Some go wild and add creamer, honey, or even CBD. There’s also Caffeine-free blends available.

Ready to make the switch to a better ritual? Visit mudwtr.com and use the code BREAK for up to 43% off your entire order, plus free shipping and a free rechargeable frother.
