A note for email recipients: I added you to the subscriber list because I thought you might enjoy seeing some photos that I've enjoyed making; no worries about unsubscribing. Also, you can click a post’s title or any of its photos to view it on the Substack website, which has larger photos and more pleasing typography.
An addendum to my first post: I picked those photos because they all feature distinct red subjects. This wasn’t an intentional theme, but something I noticed in reviewing my practice gallery, which I thought dovetailed nicely with this publication’s title.
Now, a few more photos (and more words), because it feels good to keep up momentum at the end of the year.
December 1, in front of my house. I often get to see striking morning light from my front windows. I hustled to get up close to this car.
December 12, on my street. Another “spot” of light.
December 25, outside Davis Square. I used to live on this street, just past the crosswalk. Its stark reflection caught my eye.
December 25, in Davis Square. It was so quiet that I could stand in the middle of the street and try to capture the vibe.
December 31, in my apartment. It would have been okay to not have a photo from today, but I’m glad I saw this opportunity to play with light.
