Welcome back to Changemakers, the newsletter for founders, storytellers, and operators building the next generation of impact-led ventures.
If you are building something early, a platform, a system, a breakthrough ingredient, your homepage is your first storytelling anchor.
It does not need to say everything. But it does need to build belief. Especially when you have no traction, no revenue, and no product in market.
Get it right, and everything else gets easier:
Your investor narrative
Your partnership pitch
Even your own internal clarity
But here is the challenge. It has to speak to two audiences at once.
The customer who needs your product to work
The investor who needs to believe it will scale
Let’s break down how to do both, in one scroll.
Todays topics..

Founders spend months refining their pitch. They rehearse investor calls. They polish Notion memos and vision slides.
But what happens when someone lands on your homepage?
Too often, nothing.
When Aspyre Foods first came to us, their homepage was almost empty. It spoke about the inspiration for their name but did not create confidence. Investors could not see what they were building, and customers had no reason to engage.
We rebuilt their identity and homepage around a clear belief-building structure:
Above the fold: outcome, not inputs, functional animal-free proteins, starting with casein and rubisco
Problem framing: plant-based cheese that still does not melt or stretch
System explained simply: five clear steps, no jargon
Strategic advantage stack: product, price, productivity, control, sustainability
Proof through quotes: co-founder conviction tied to platform scale
Consistent CTA: “Speak with our team”
The result is a homepage that makes customers curious, partners lean in, and investors reply.
See their new homepage here: www.aspyrefoods.com
Your homepage is not a placeholder. It is a belief-building tool. Done well, it should:
Make a customer curious
Make a partner lean in
Give an investor a reason to reply
A strong homepage has to earn belief from two audiences at once: the customer who needs your product to work, and the investor who needs to believe it can scale.
The clearer you show that you:
Understand your customer and their pain
Offer a solution that feels simple and credible
Present it with sharp, professional design
…the more investors will see that you know what you are doing.
Here is the structure that works:
Above the fold → State the problem and outcome
Next scroll → Show the outcome, not the input
Middle scroll → Explain your system simply
Lower scroll → Stack your advantages
Final scroll → Let quotes do the work
Story is only half the job. Design carries as much weight.
AI stock imagery makes you look generic and unready
Lo-fi templates signal you do not invest in credibility
Cluttered layouts confuse both customers and investors
Investors are not just reading your words. They are asking: “does this team look like they can execute?” If the design is sloppy, belief drops before they reach the second scroll.
Leading with the platform instead of the problem
Writing in investor-speak instead of human language
Explaining too much and proving too little
Trying to impress everyone and convincing no one
What works instead:
Speak to a shared, felt pain
Start with outcomes, not science
Layer logic in believable steps
Let tone and structure carry weight
Create a clear, low-friction way to engage
Ask yourself:
→ Does the headline promise a real-world outcome?
→ Is the problem framed in specific, emotional terms?
→ Can a smart 15-year-old understand what you do?
→ Are your advantages layered, not listed?
→ Is there a no-pressure way to reach out?
If not, it is probably time to rebuild.
I am opening two slots this month through august for founders who need design that builds belief.
We focus on the design foundations that make you investor-ready:
Identity that signals clarity (refreshing your visual system so you look the part)
A landing page or website that earns trust (structured to win over customers and investors at once)
An investor-ready deck (designed to show conviction and scale in every slide)
Every project is tailored to your stage and goals, but the outcome is the same: a company who shows up with clarity, credibility, and confidence.
→ Reply to this email to reserve your slot or → Book a call here
If you also need support shaping your narrative and content, we can build the story with you on a success-fee basis. Design remains fixed-fee, but narrative development is only paid if you raise.
→ Secure one of two slots before September closes.
