I’m absolutely thrilled to announce publication day for my latest Cornwall-based saga set in the 1940’s, A NEW HOPE FOR THE CORNISH GIRLS.

I was so happy when Avon Books asked me to continue the Cornish Girls saga series, and indeed I’m currently writing book 8, BRIGHTER DAYS FOR THE CORNISH GIRLS, continuing on from this new book…

My Cornish Girls are very dear to my heart, and even now, re-reading each day’s work on the new book can make me chuckle or reduce me to tears, I’m so close to my characters now.

Book 7 takes us to 1946, as people are struggling to adjust to life after the war. Thankfully every cloud has a silver lining, and there is indeed new hope ahead for the Cornish Girls.

Today being publication day, I’ll be munching some cake and enjoying my favourite oat latte in my hometown of Bude, North Cornwall!

The heartwarming brand-new instalment in the Cornish Girls series, perfect for fans of Ginny Bell and Elaine Everest

Cornwall, 1946.

Spirited Sheila is still reeling from the loss of her husband. But she’s eager to run his Porthcurno shop, despite her daughter’s objections. The villagers are facing hard times, and she wants to help them rebuild.

Joan is happy to swap the munitions factory for the fields as a Land Girl. It’s her way of giving back. She’s always preferred books over boys. But when she meets Arthur, a war-torn soul recently returned from France, she can’t ignore her feelings.

Meanwhile, Selina is heartbroken when her soldier beau breaks off their engagement to marry another. But with heartbreak comes hope, as it reunites her with her estranged sister, Bella, and her young family. And when Bella faces her own hardships, Selina throws herself into supporting her.

The fighting has stopped, but are the Cornish Girls ready to let go of the past and embrace a hopeful new future?

You can find A NEW HOPE FOR THE CORNISH GIRLS in good bookshops (you may need to order a copy) and some branches of Asda supermarkets, also online.

The Amazon ebook, paperback and audiobooks can be found here, with free samples available.

Thank you so much for subscribing, and if you love my Cornish Girls books, do please tell your friends and spread the word!
