Sure, you can just do it all out of your head, but is that effective?
For me, it creates nagging and constant anxiety, like turning the ‘ON’ notch up a few. And I’m pretty sure this manifests as chronic stress, which we know is not good for long-term human health.
When I feel the most ‘not on,’ it's when I have my shit organized.
And the fewer things to organize, the easier that is.
So after going in wild ADD THINGS MODE, I’m now going into the painful but necessary pruning phase.
I’m toying around with the idea of selling Better Human Goods. (Email me if interested in a turnkey ECOM business with inventory and 3PL 100% setup—has rev too.)
At the very least, I’m moving it into maintenance mode where I run a few $ in ads and let the customer acquisition process do its thing.
I digress.
You see, the trap I fell into, and many do, comes from knowing every inch of the business model.
I know how to do 100% of everything in this ecom game. Sourcing, design, selling, marketing, email, ads, LPs, offer creation, custom manufacturing, raising money, exiting (4x times), etc.
That’s a trap. I’m trapped by the ability to see what has to be done crystal clear because it always, and I mean always, convinces me that I can/shoudl do something.
But then the paper cuts start.
Those micro annoyances that seem to always come from every business, every platform, every new prodcut launch, every damn thing you do that’s new create unknown shit you have to deal with.
Even if you’ve done it 100 times… the 101st time will still be diff and come with its own baggage.
I know I’m talking about doing too many different things and businesses, especially at the same time. I’m talking about doing it off the top of your head. Now, as somebody who’s organized and has made a commitment to get into Notion and Billy’s databases and get connected to them, every day I’m improving them.
This is still a really hard thing to do. You get so much drift. It’s just that entropy again: you organize something, and then it gets disorganized, or you forget it. You just lean towards disorder, and it takes constant vigilance and high skill, high commitment to actually contain that and control it. That’s really what I’m talking about here.
The way they’re connected is that the more that you add to your plate, the more things and businesses you have to do, the harder it is to contain the drift.
Running your businesses or projects or life this way, off the top of your head, by the seat of your pants, as they say, it’s just not good for all the reasons. It’s not effective.
You can’t bring other people into your business without a lot of pain and effort. You lose context, you lose things, you forget things. It’s just not the way to do it.
Now that we have AI, we have Notion, we have Google Sheets, Airtable. All these tools are literally designed to help you take an information store and use it and keep things as simple as possible, but that takes pruning, that takes work. It takes violence. It’s like weeds from a garden. Constant.
The second you neglect that garden, it overgrows into a jungle.
And it’s the same way with life. It’s just a law of the universe: entropy.
My setup is NOTION + connect everything here, then connect it to GPT, Claude, and my Agent. This new Master Control system (inside my AI OS system btw) is a complete game changer. And each day I find a way to improve it, like labeling past threads, for example, so I can look quickly to know what I should be opening + what’s done…. huge unlock. Now my recent threads will be clean (7/27 - status - name).
The key is to figure out one place and one set of tight logic for the data. Then you daily update, tweak, and iterate. You force simplicity. You force data entry. You force less is more. You force accurate history.
Do this daily, and you and your AI learn, and your system improves.
This is the way.
You track steps. You track sleep. Nobody tracks the thing pouring into your eyes for fourteen hours a day.
That is not a discipline problem. It is a gear problem, and gear problems have gear answers.
The LITEZ All-day 3 Lens system covers the whole clock: it blocks up to 99% of the blue light hitting your eyes from sunup to bedtime.
Yellow for daytime work. Orange for the evening wind-down. Red for the last hour before bed. I rotate all three.
Less eye strain, fewer headaches, an easier time actually falling asleep.

Open one table. Notion, Airtable, a spreadsheet, it does not matter. Four columns: what it is, who it is waiting on, what happens next, and the date it goes stale.
Spend 30 minutes dumping every open loop you are currently holding in your head into it. Every promise, every unpaid invoice, every half-answered email, every thing you keep meaning to circle back on. Do not filter. If it wakes you up at 2am it goes in the table.
Count the rows. That number is the actual workload you have been carrying with no system underneath it. Most operators land somewhere between 30 and 60 and are genuinely shocked by it.
Give your agent read access to that table and one standing order: every morning, tell me which rows went stale, which ones are blocked on me, and which ones I can close today.
Here is the rule that makes it stick. You are never allowed to answer "let me check" from memory again. You check the table. If it is not in the table, it does not exist.
Two weeks in it stops being a to-do list. It becomes the thing that remembers, which is the only way you get to be the thing that thinks.
Spend 60 minutes writing down every open commitment you are currently carrying in your head. Not tasks you planned. Promises you made, invoices you are owed, replies you owe, things you keep meaning to check on. Working memory tops out around seven items. Most operators are running forty. That gap is where every dropped ball lives, and no amount of discipline closes it, because the problem is storage, not effort.
Then hand the list to your AI and make it own the follow-up. Every morning it tells you what went stale and what is waiting on you.
One hour. One list. Your brain gets its capacity back. That's the way.
Monday 7/27, midday. Figures are intraday, not a close.
🤖 AI
🟢 RDDT +5.9%. Reddit climbs ahead of its July 30 print, with AI data licensing still the whole story.
🟢 CXMT +13.1%. ChangXin Memory derivatives jump as AI memory demand keeps outrunning supply.
🔴 AMD −8%. Leads the chip selloff after last week's Big Tech capex scare.
🔴 ASML −7.9%. Semicap equipment goes down with the rest of the AI complex.
💻 Tech
🟢 AAPL +3.5%. Rallies into Thursday's earnings while the Nasdaq sits red.
🟢 No second clean large-cap tech winner at midday. Everything else in the sector traded with the chips.
🔴 TER −8%. Teradyne falls in step with AMD across test and semicap names.
🔴 SNDK −3.6%. SanDisk slides again on memory pricing.
🏦 Finance
🟢 BTC +1.2%. Bitcoin catches the risk-on bid after the US and Iran paused strikes.
🟢 ETH +4.5%. Ethereum outruns Bitcoin on the same relief trade.
🔴 VIX −4.5%. The fear gauge got crushed, which is only a loss if you were hedged.
🔴 No bank or broker broke out at midday. Financials sat still and waited on Wednesday's Fed decision.
🌎 Other
🟢 BKR +8.4%. Baker Hughes surges in early trading, now up 36.3% year to date.
🟢 HON +7.5%. Honeywell climbs on its quarterly report.
🔴 BE −14.9%. Bloom Energy craters, the ugliest large-cap move on the tape.
🔴 Brent −4%, back under 86 dollars, as the US and Iran pause and the war premium bleeds out.
Here is the tell: the money moved out of the machines and into the boring stuff. Oil, industrials, a relief bid in crypto. Nobody is paying for AI promises this week, they are waiting on Microsoft, Meta, Apple and Amazon to show receipts, plus a Fed decision Wednesday. Same rule applies to you. Nobody is grading your setup. They are grading what came out of it.
