That’s what the world is today, hey hey. Actually, Temptations arose to write “Balls of Confusion,” a bit of snark that would be well deserved considering the examples of trans “rights” overreach that have been popping up. Some are not immediately recent, they’re just showing up on social media as people go all WTF on them. The cumulative effect is reminiscent of the Dutch tulip mania, because the inflation of pushing the trans agenda, no matter how ridiculous, is getting out of control.

On 2 June, the New York legislature passed a bill replacing gender-specific terms like “mother” and “father” with gender-neutral language such as “gestating parent” and “non-gestating parent” in family court, custody, domestic relations, and education laws. The sponsors claimed this would make the law more inclusive of same-sex parent families, surrogacy arrangements, and assisted reproduction scenarios. “It aligns state statutes with the 2021 Child-Parent Security Act, which already utilized gender-neutral terminology.”

WTF? In surrogacy child purchase scenarios, it’s all “non-gestating parents” once the human breeder has been paid off and discarded. Even with assisted reproduction, there’s still a mother involved who keeps the baby. If you have boxes for mother and father, you could add boxes for co-parent on both sides

The legislation also changes “paternity” proceedings to “parentage” cases and updates “putative father” to “alleged parent.” I suppose you could do the co-parent thing here. However, the idea is that men who father children (and it’s men who do that, even the transes) need to remain responsible for their offspring.

And I don’t think it’s skin off anyone’s behind to acknowledge that the alternative arrangements in which they are involved are just that, alternatives to the normal scheme of things.

Meanwhile in Boston, the Mayor’s office is one of the sponsors of a Transgender Period Pride event at a public library, at which participants would be fed a meal and given period pants. Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d always been told that having a period is a majorly psychologically stressful event for females transitioning to male. And I’m with the commenter who asked why taxpayer money isn’t being spent on endometriosis services instead. (Because that would aid actual women, silly! And we can’t have that.)

The event has been moved to a secret location, but why was it planned in the first place? I’d imagine anyone in that situation would suck it up, make their own arrangements, and keep their periods on the down low till testosterone stops them. What makes transgenderism something that inspires competitive public displays of devotion?

And what got into the heads of the supposed feminists at Massachusetts now to help sponsor this? A simple ave atque vale to those departing womanhood would suffice. How many times do people have to point out that trans activism is, in general, antagonistic to women? And yet, here we are. During Senate hearings on the SAVE Act, Kelley Robinson of HRC called it Jim Crow 2.0, and not on behalf of racial and ethnic minorities; HRC is aghast at the possibility of trans-identified males losing access to women’s and girls’ restrooms and locker rooms. But, as we all know, HRC stopped being for gays and lesbians a long time ago.

Trans athletes horning in on women’s and girls’ sports and athletics came up in campaigns for Governor in the California “jungle primary” (one only, not separate votes for separate parties). Republican Steve Hinton came out in support of legislation that will keep athletics segregated by sex; self-funding Democrat Tom Steyer made an appearance with Southern California track and field cheater AB Hernandez, calling him a “hero.”

It’s a cult! It’s a mania! It’s an obsession!

And I don’t get it.

In Colorado, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) investigated Jefferson County Public Schools, the second-largest District in the state, and found 61 biological boys participating in girls’ sports teams. The OCR is, naturally, describing this as a violation of Title IX. Pro-trans people say “this never happens” with some regularity, and yet an investigation found many, many hands in the cookie jar.

The Supreme Court’s decision on this issue can’t come soon enough, and I hope it delivers a nationwide ban.

Also not quite recently, but a tucked crotchload of Democrats voted against a Colorado bill elevating indecent exposure to minors from a misdemeanor to a felony. They said they had a concern that law enforcement or prosecutors might subjectively interpret “sexual gratification” or “indecent exposure” to target drag queens, even if the performers were not actually exposing genitals or masturbating. Which, of course, would not hold up in court.

Objectors also expressed fears the new law, which only elevates to a felony something already illegal, might be used against trans-identified males using women’s facilities. Now, unless they’d be exposing themselves, they’d not be in jeopardy of arrest under this statute. Are the LGBTQuacks implying it’s customary for the TIMs to expose themselves, or get sexual gratification from using women’s restrooms and changing rooms? (Your Freudian slip is showing.)

Opponents cited a possible chilling effect of the threat of felony charges causing venues to cancel “family-friendly” or all-ages drag events to avoid legal risk. (You say that like it’s a bad thing!) If these shows truly are innocuous and “family-friendly,” which is debatable, then no harm, no foul. You don’t have to be guilty of anything to act guilty, so it would seem. However, an Australian feminist group quote the founder of drag queen story hours saying their mission included “Capturing ‘the imagination and play of gender fluidity of childhood’ and providing children with ‘glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.’”

And what are the three things every child knows and will tell you at the drop of a hat? Their name, their age, and whether they are a boy or a girl. Children are not blank slates; perhaps the goal is to disorient them and make them blank slates for indoctrination?

Great googa mooga can’t you hear me sock it to you now, BALL OF CONFUSION! That’s what the world is today, hey hey.
