We are delighted to welcome Lyn, our new Music Director, who will begin with us this coming Sunday.
As Lyn prepares to join our church family, members of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee have arranged a special meet-and-greet on Wednesday, beginning at 5 pm, for those who will work most closely with her in our music ministry.
Because this gathering is intended to help Lyn connect with our music ministry leaders and participants, attendance will be limited to members of the SPRC, Chancel Choir, and Bell Choir.
The entire congregation will have an opportunity to welcome Lyn during fellowship time following worship this Sunday. We encourage everyone to stop by, make introductions, and offer a warm church-family welcome as she begins her ministry among us.

This weekend, hundreds of cyclists rolled through Central Virginia for the annual Bike MS: Colonial Crossroads ride, raising more than $565,000 to support research, treatment, and services for people living with multiple sclerosis. Riders traveled routes stretching from Richmond to Williamsburg, while volunteers and supporters cheered them on every mile of the way.
What makes this story especially encouraging is that it wasn’t driven by corporations or celebrities. It was powered by neighbors, families, churches, friends, and everyday people who decided to turn a weekend bike ride into a force for hope. The event has become a beloved Virginia tradition, bringing communities together around a shared mission to improve lives and move closer to a cure.
In a world that often feels divided, it’s worth celebrating reminders that compassion still moves people, sometimes for 75 miles at a time.
When people pedal together toward a good cause, hope gains momentum.

Have you ever felt overlooked, forgotten, or invisible? This Sunday, we’ll explore one of the most familiar stories in Scripture: Jesus’ encounter with Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-10. While the crowd saw a tax collector, Jesus saw a person longing to be known. He stopped, looked up, and called Zacchaeus by name.
In a world where many people wonder if anyone notices them, we’ll be reminded that God sees us completely, loves us deeply, and calls us His own. More importantly, we’ll be challenged to follow Christ’s example by noticing, welcoming, and caring for those around us who may feel unseen.
