Hi Friends!

Hi Friends!

I hope you’re having an amazing week! I’ve been coming to Montauk for 13 years now and I can’t remember a June with weather this good. Every day has been sunny, in the low 70s, and not even that humid. Truly a gift.

I’ve been spending as much time outside as possible. Beach walks, pool days, sunsets, lobster and soaking up every bit of this beautiful weather. I feel very grateful for time out here.

Although I’ve been coming here for a long time, this is my first summer in Montauk on my own. I rented the house myself, I’m doing this season myself (with plenty of visits from family and friends) and I’m experiencing one of my favorite places with me, myself, and I.

There’s something both empowering and bittersweet about returning to a place filled with so many memories and experiencing it through a completely different lens. Some days feel exciting and freeing, others feel a little lonely and unfamiliar. More than anything, it has been an opportunity to get to know myself again and create new memories in a place I’ve loved for years.

If you're standing on the edge of a big change and feeling afraid of the unknown, I get it. I know how uncomfortable it can be to leave behind what’s familiar, even when you know it’s no longer right for you. My hope is that by sharing my experiences, it might offer a little perspective, encouragement, or reassurance that there is life — and joy (along with the pain) — on the other side of change. Thanks for being here :)

an abundance of beach days this month!
