Hi Friends! Happy hump day!

I have been in full catch-up-on-life mode today. More on all of that next week. There are a lot of changes happening (all good), but I am learning firsthand just how much work, time, money and effort it takes to completely start over and rebuild your life in your late 30s.

On June 6th, I turned 38, and while I am SO grateful to age (what a freaking privilege), birthdays always seem to bring a moment of reflection.

I never thought in my wildest dreams that at 38 I would be divorced, without children, and completely starting over. HUH!? Sometimes saying all of that out loud doesn’t even seem real. Not because I think there is anything wrong with what I just said, but because I never saw that for myself. I envisioned things much differently.

Lately I was thinking about some of the challenges I have faced thoughout the last 10 years: emergency brain surgery, a long life changing recovery, Lyme disease and layered health issues, and most recently challenges in my marriage that resulted in a devastating difficult divorce.

It had me thinking, if the unimaginable can happen in challenging ways, why can’t it happen in the most magical and abundant ways as well?

Some days that reality feels heavy, and like the pressure is on to get it all back together. Other days it feels freeing and exciting. Most days, it feels like a mix of both.

However, after sitting with all of the thoughts and feelings that came up around my birthday, I realized I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

So today, I want to talk about turning 38 and learning to trust my own timing….
