Along with staying on top of the AI boom over the last few years, we’ve also tried to look elsewhere for ideas at various points in time. Rather than chasing momentum names when the market gets overbought, we often take a contrarian approach and look to highlight “beaten-down blue chips“ for example.
In early 2025, we built what we called a “diversified dogs” list that featured some of the worst-performing S&P 500 stocks in each sector over the last year at the time. Below are two “diversified dogs” baskets included in our Chart of the Day on 2/10/25.
