The “Astrology Bypass”: The Great Shift Requires the Great Work

July 20, 2026, marks the beginning of one of the most significant turning points in modern civilization.

French mundane astrologer André Barbault believed that a rare planetary configuration involving Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto could signal nothing less than a relaunch of civilization.

Barbault has been credited with anticipating the fall of the Berlin Wall and the global pandemic crisis of 2020 decades before they occurred.

He described the 2026 planetary basket as “the most benefic configuration of the century.”

But what would a relaunch of civilization actually look like?

Global political upheaval, economic breakdown and transformation, and unprecedented technological acceleration.

Artificial intelligence is already reshaping human life at astonishing speed.

Old structures are disintegrating, while something new is emerging that we can barely comprehend from within the present moment.

All of this may ultimately lead humanity toward a radically different relationship with the sacred and the Divine, beyond religious dogma and institutional religion.

These powerful astrological configurations suggest that we may be approaching far more than another political, ideological, or technological shift.

When we connect Barbault’s Cyclic Index with Terence McKenna’s Timewave Zero, another pattern emerges: history itself appears to be compressing as novelty accelerates toward an exponential climax.

More change, disruption, complexity, and transformation are being packed into shorter and shorter periods of time.

We are moving toward the technological Singularity, a Yuga Shift, a major stage of UFO disclosure, the thinning of the veil, and a civilizational and spiritual threshold that encompasses all of them.

Everything is interconnected and part of this galactic Time of Transition.

Yet one of the most common responses I hear when I talk about the Time of Transition, the shift, the birth of a new Earth, or powerful astrological alignments such as the rare basket formation occurring on July 20, is some variation of this:

“How many rare ‘configurations’ have there been over the past several years as humanity is hurled closer to the abyss? How often have people and prophets announced a ‘shift’ or a ‘new world’ to be born? But nothing really changes. Wake me when this nightmare is over!”

This reaction is understandable when viewed only through the world of appearances, but it is also based on a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Time of Transition is about and what astrological transits and configurations actually represent.

Astrology and Soul Evolution

You, the little “I” you think you are, with all its identifications, desires, and attachments, live under the illusion of separation from all that is.

Astrology and the planets do not make you do anything, nor do they bring about miraculous events while you simply sit back and wait.

Many people seek an astrology reading because they want to hear something positive about themselves or to be told that something great is going to happen in their lives, especially regarding love, relationships, career, success, or money.

This approach is already a setup for failure and disappointment. It misses the deeper purpose of astrology in the context of soul evolution.

Most people approach astrology from the false self, the ego-personality, rather than from the perspective of the soul’s deeper movement, its lessons, and its karmic trajectory beyond the superficial judgments of what the ego considers “good” or “bad.”

What is also rarely acknowledged is that one’s level of consciousness in the current incarnation influences how the natal chart and its transits manifest in one’s life.

Most importantly, it is still up to you to work consciously with these energies, engage the will, and learn the lessons that arise at certain junctures in life and may be reflected through powerful transits.

Many people, including mainstream astrologers, approach astrology in a highly intellectual and head-centric way, missing its deeper psychospiritual dimension and its direct application to inner work.

This can easily result in what I call the “astrology bypass,” especially when astrology becomes the foundational lens through which everything is interpreted.

Remember, the level of consciousness of an astrologer inevitably influences the reading they give. An intellectual interpretation of charts and transits alone does not necessarily reflect deeper spiritual understanding or discernment.

When this is understood and applied inwardly, astrology can become a powerful tool and ally.

The same applies collectively to humanity’s response to configurations such as the upcoming basket formation.

To put it simply:

It is an opportunity, not a guarantee, and it depends on you.

Look in the mirror and get to work instead of waiting for a magical configuration to do it for you.

As we explained in depth in our recent podcast, powerful astrological transits can catalyze personal and collective evolution, but only when we consciously align with their higher expression through inner work.

Your soul may respond to this call, but your ego will resist it. The unconscious parts within you, including the wounded inner child, the shadow, your attachments, and your identifications, may also resist the call of your higher nature.

Nothing meaningful happens when you merely sit back and rant on social media as if God is supposed to do the work for you.

The more you complain about the state of the world and remain trapped in victim and blame consciousness without taking responsibility, the more you feed the very “nightmare” you condemn.

No one is coming to save you, especially from yourself.

Truth or the Abyss

Many teachers and seers of the past spoke about the profound shift humanity would undergo, but they also emphasized that its higher outcome was not guaranteed.

It depends on a certain fraction of humanity, those with soul potential, consciously engaging in the Great Work of individuation and spiritualization.

This does not mean that a majority is required. David Hawkins suggested through his work and his Map of Consciousness that one human being established at a higher level of consciousness, acting as a transducer of Divine Will, can outweigh the ignorance of millions of people operating from lower levels of consciousness, especially those deeply rooted in victim and blame consciousness.

Through inner work and purification, they help anchor the Divine Force, the Holy Spirit, and participate in the transmutation of the world, gradually freeing it from the grip of hostile anti-Divine forces.

A failure of this evolutionary process could result in cataclysmic destruction similar to what befell ancient civilizations in previous cycles, such as Atlantis, and what is symbolized in the biblical flood.

As The Mother, Mirra Alfassa, said:

“The choice is imperative: Truth or the Abyss.”

Sri Aurobindo expressed the same essential choice:

“I cannot promise that the Divine’s Will is to preserve the current civilization. The present civilization must change, but whether by destruction or a new construction on the basis of a greater truth is the issue.”

Be aware of the wishful belief that a genuine shift uplifting humanity will simply happen through external intervention or astrological transits.

These configurations mirror an opportunity. It is still up to you to do the work, seize the moment, and become the change.

Then you may begin to recognize God’s work within all appearances, for all is One. Yet you must still participate as an instrument of Divine Will, helping to bring forth a new world, a new consciousness, and an entirely new way of Being.

The outer purification of Ekpyrosis is not God’s punishment, nor is it a reason for doom and gloom.

It is a necessary phase in the evolution of consciousness.

The more we resist it, the more destructive it becomes outwardly. The more consciously we participate in it inwardly, the more it becomes a transformative force that can help humanity and the world.

This is why I state it again:

The most important thing you can do for yourself, your family, your community, and the world is to live in accordance with your Dharma, engage in conscious inner work, and willingly burn in the fire of transmutation.

Even André Barbault, who identified this powerful astrological basket configuration, said that it represents a great opportunity, not smooth sailing or a guaranteed outcome.
