I suppose I could have named this chapter: On the Road to Recovery, but why would I? If you’ve ever been with someone when they’re trying to kick a junk habit, you know how bad it can get. And there’s a sickly sweet smell of sweat about them. It’s not a lot of fun, but then addiction and recovery never are. I’m just glad I never got that carried away with it. I mean when it comes to that sort of thing, it’s better to have someone around who knows what the consequences are and won’t let you get hooked. I suppose that’s why when people talk about the eighties, I always think to myself: Well, at least I survived them, which is a lot more than I can say for some of the people I’ve known.
On a lighter note, I sold a copy of my eBook THE SHIELD OF LOCKSLEY today. My first sale. I could handle it with just one a day, for the rest of my life. That would be about $2800 a year, and over twenty-three years, around $65,500, which would be a nice little gift for my kids to split between them.

I will be writing a few little pieces about some of the characters in the story, and a few facts as to why my story is so different than other King Arthur stories. For instance, my story is more about the fall of Camelot than anything else. At 867 pages it’s a great summertime read.
