Despite being the highest-paid academic philosopher on Substack, Kate Manne has recently suggested that for her “labor” she deserves considerably more money than the hundreds of thousands of dollars she makes annually from writing her newsletter, alongside her regular well-paid academic job. She is apparently among the “large percentage of female and feminist contributors” who are “not getting enough support for [their] labor,” despite having a much higher share of paid subscribers than average.
What does her labor involve? Solving the world’s greatest mysteries!
