With less than a month to go before Penn State starts the Playing Actual Football Games portion of the Matt Campbell era, now is the time for my annual dive into the pulse of the preseason secondary ticket market.
While it’s not the only way to measure season interest and expectations, it does offer a general sense of the “how much do people care about this game?” metric. A lot of that is centered around who Penn State is playing, but a lot of it also comes back to the demand to simply see Penn State in general.
Historically I’ve looked up a single resale ticket but last season I started operating from the perspective of “You and a friend want to go to the game” so listings for two tickets together. In the long run the numbers don’t change much, but single tickets can sometimes fluctuate more as people try and unload inventory vs a pair of tickets that can give a better sense of market values.
So this season? Penn State’s poor home slate is well documented at this point, but generally the pricing is not all that unusual. [Via Ticketmaster]
