Nozick Second Ch. 8 Recording for Substack Philosophy Class for Paid Subscribers

Here’s the recording for the twenty-first session of our Substack philosophy class for paid subscribers. We read the “Self-Esteem and Envy” section of Ch. 8 of Robert Nozick’s Anarchy, State, and Utopia, plus we finally went back to the stuff about Rawls and free will we left hanging a while back. Next time we’ll read the “Meaningful Work” and “Workers’ Control” sections.

Oh, and here’s that old Peter Frase article in Jacobin we talked about with regard to status hierarchies and communism. It was later expanded into a short book but everything I mentioned today was in the article.
