Hecklers disrupted a campaign event for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Saturday, shouting accusations of adultery as the Republican Senate hopeful gave a speech attacking his primary opponent.
Paxton, is as MAGA as they come, mocked state Rep. James Talarico’s Christian values. A heckler immediately interrupted, yelling, “You cheated on your wife!”
Allegations of adultery against Paxton have circulated for years and were brought up during his impeachment hearings in 2023. His wife, Texas state Sen. Angela Paxton, announced in July that she was filing for divorce “on biblical grounds.”
The adultery charge was not the only outburst. Austin Statesman reporter Faith Bugenhagen shared video on X of another heckler who appeared to be shouting Jeffrey Epstein’s name as security pulled the individual away. She noted, “Already two disruptions here from the crowd.”

Talarico last month accused Paxton of trying to cover up an “Epstein-style sweetheart deal” the Attorney General’s office gave a Waco man who served just 29 days in jail on charges that he sexually abused a child.
The same day as the campaign event, the Houston Chronicle published a report detailing internal Republican complaints that Paxton’s Senate campaign “isn’t working hard enough.” Fox News host Jesse Watters was quoted as complaining, “Where’s Paxton? I’ve seen Mitch McConnell more than Paxton and McConnell’s been in the hospital all summer. Get out of your hole Paxton and do something.”
