I'm taking you along as I write Book 3

ICYMI: I’m attempting to document the entire process of writing my third novel, from blank page to (fingers crossed!) eventual publication. That means every breakthrough, confidence wobble, and craft tool I test out along the way. You can catch up on the first 3 posts here.

Whether you’re a writer desperate to know how the process works for other authors or just a curious reader, I’m giving you a peek into the messy backstage of how a book gets made.

If you’re looking for craft tips, you won’t find many in this edition. However, if you’re here for an unvarnished peek at the mental gymnastics that come along with the first draft process, I’ve got backflips and handsprings galore!

Keep reading for:

  • Process journal snippets

  • Going back to the start at the mid-point

  • The (very helpful) Instagram reel hole I stumbled into

  • Getting real about my target completion date goal
