Two Color Classic Program
Today’s Two for Tuesday is the first entry in the Two Color Classic series, 1975’s Joe Garagiola Bazooka Big League Bubble Gum Championship program. Using only two colors, Topps Chewing Gum managed to create a cover that fit the Bazooka brand while hearkening back to an earlier era of design yet fitting totally into the aesthetic of the mid 70s. The Bubble Gum Blowing Championship would later be immortalized in the 1976 Topps set with card #564, showing champion Kurt Bevacqua of the Milwaukee Brewers.
