I’ve been thinking a lot about the perfect summer meal. Given the massive heatwave we’re experiencing right now, I’m particularly interested in great recipes that don’t require turning on the stove…

Earlier this week, I asked you to send in a summer recipe that’s a go-to in your house. I don’t know what I was expecting, but these really blew me away. They reminded me that whether you prefer steak straight off the grill or a bowl full of farmer’s market produce, the best, most perfect dishes — the ones you savor and talk about long after the plates are cleared — are always the simple ones. You almost can’t believe that a freshly sliced tomato, spoonful of burrata, and a little bit of flaky salt could be so delicious.
