It’s the last day of the month! Where has the time gone!? I plan to soak up every summer second during August!! I want to mix up frosty cocktails and read as many frothy beach reads as I can!

This week I finished Romance Revival, and while it’s a total departure from what I’m used to reading from Christina Lauren, I knew that going into it, which helped, I think! The leading lady is a brilliant scientist working on top-secret technology that she is forced to use on her husband when he dies in a hit-and-run one night. She brings him back to life, but he has no memories, so she’s working to make him fall in love with her again… and right all the wrongs from their relationship pre-car crash. It was fun and hard to put down, but I wasn’t totally obsessed with it. I was obsessed with the Sarti Spritz I paired with it! Find my review here!

Not that Kind of Proposal by Victoria Lavine: I read and enjoyed Victoria’s Any Trope but You (review here), so I’ve been excited for this enemies-to-lovers saga about a hopeless romantic wedding planner, Gracie, and a cynical divorce lawyer, Jude, who inherits the Rhode Island estate where she hosts weddings and lives in the guest cottage. I am obsessed with tubing mascara. I simply cannot use anything else, or else I look like a raccoon by the middle of the day! Hourglass & Merit have been my favorites, but I just tried Sarah Creal’s (maker of one of my favorite blushes that makes you look tan, this one in sunshine), and I am impressed! The wand ensures you get every last lash, and it stays in place yet comes off easily with warm water! Find it here!

I couldn’t resist these cute pants! They will either be unbearably flattering or god-awful. I will report back. The price tag has me wanting them to be god-awful, but the lack of any pants that fit in my closet makes me want them to be flattering!

Caro Chambers’ crispy BBQ chicken tacos. My kids DEVOURED them, and that pretty much never happens.
Very easy bolognese. Seriously, it could not be easier! I make this basically every other week, even though my Italian ancestors would probably be rolling over in their graves because I am not making a 12-hour sauce.
Caro Chambers’ tiny tomato pasta and grilled chicken. The pasta is always a hit. I am still a grill novice, so my chicken grilling still happens indoors (I use this pan, sear both sides, and then pop it in the oven), which is nothing but pure stupidity in this heat.
