The one with the Deep End adaptation!

The headline news (for me, at least) this week is that DEEP END IS GOING TO BE MADE INTO A MOVIE! Sure, Alex Cooper is producing it, and I know nothing about her production company, but I don’t know anything about anyone’s production company, so I don’t give a damn!!!! I am so excited about this because, if done well, I think this could translate so well on screen. (If done poorly, it could be depressingly cheesy, but let’s all be optimistic, people!) I shared our dream casting from years ago on Instagram (saved to my dream casting highlight if you missed it! Sorry in advance for how many dream casts you have to click through to get there!), and you can find my review here! I, too, was bummed when I first heard Ali’s 2025 release was a college romance, as sometimes I feel a little too old to read those, but I should have learned my lesson from Check & Mate (a YA romance by Ali that didn’t feel very YA. Review here!). Any story in the hands of Ali is great and perfect, no matter the age!

What do you guys think? Did you love Deep End? Are you excited for the adaptation?

The Unknown (Shelve on Goodreads), The Women in White (Shelve on Goodreads), How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle (Shelve on Goodreads), Time to Burn (Shelve on Goodreads), You Do You (COOKBOOK!)

This week, I finished Not That Kind of Proposal by Victoria Lavine! You voted for it last week, and I am so happy to report that I loved it! It was a sexy and fun enemies-to-lovers book that could fit the bill if you’re looking for your next romance! Find my review here!

Now, I am on to Helpless (more on that below), and then here is my reading plan from there:

Ok, there’s a peek into my brain and my thrilling reading plans for the next few weeks! I hope you’re reading something great this weekend! If it’s not on my radar, please comment and let me know!!

Want to know what the most-clicked link was this week for my BR&B shoppers? My favorite eyelash curler!

In last month’s Bubbly Bulletin, we talked about Jessica Knoll’s latest, Helpless, and she revealed to Bustle that it was inspired by the kidnapping-turned-romance scenes in A Court of Thorns and Roses (series review here)!

I am getting so many messages from people who loved it, were unsure what to think of it, and who hated it, so I decided I MUST read it!! Plus, Elizabeth, who edits my other newsletters, sent me this, which was the final push I needed to start it!

It’s dark and insane, and you know I will be reporting back ASAP!

Read it with me! Find it on Bookshop.org or at your library here! Adding it to your TBR? Shelve it on Goodreads here!

Paper Products!

Have I ever bothered you with my favorite writing-related things? I am a fan of paper products and physical calendars, so let me share some of my favorites!

  • I use a day planner, and it is my single source of truth! I consult it every day, and it’s the only way I know what’s going on. I have a very diva LV planner, and I use May Paper Co. paper on the inside! They just have the exact layout my brain likes :)

  • I recently got these Sugar Paper highlighters, and the colors are beautiful.

  • These are my favorite everyday pens. They’re juicy and gorgeous! If I do not have these pens, I simply will not write anything down!!!

  • I am a bit promiscuous when it comes to my favorite notepads… Rifle Paper Co. has this adorable little one I just picked up. I also love Joy Creative’s paper goods. I have this notepad, and their car kit has helped me on many occasions! Maddy La Rosa also makes beautiful paper products. She also does a lot of pop-ups IRL in NYC!

  • Very random, but I store all of our holiday cards in here, and that is the extent of my scrapbooking!

  • I get pretty much all of my greeting cards IRL at Paper Source! My stationery varies, but this is one of my very favorite Etsy shops!

A hodgepodge of things

  1. These swan bookends! I was in need of bookends, and these came across my desk, so I couldn’t resist!

  2. I went crazy on Boden for little boys' clothes. Everything is on sale, and they just released their new fall stuff. I am the most excited about this sweater and this glow-in-the-dark skeleton band long sleeve!

  3. No one is more influenceable than I am, so when I saw this video, I said I have to give that dang brush a try and let the girls know if it works!!! You’re supposed to use it mid-day with a little moisturizer or without any product to perk up your face! I love her foundation, so I am going to try it out.

This week I made…

  • ’ chicken parm meatballs from this cookbook that releases on Tuesday (8/11). It is so easy, impressive, and my kids wolfed it down! Which means next time I make it, they’ll hate it!

  • Ground beef tacos! A go-to of mine because they take no time to whip up, and everyone loves them! I don’t do anything fancy. I just use the Whole Foods spice packet, a pound of ground beef, hard shells, and lots of delicious toppings!

  • I made my mom’s crispy chicken, which is something she scrawled down on a piece of paper, but it’s very similar to this one! I also air-fried baby potatoes, and this recipe is my favorite (and this is my air fryer, still on sale!)
