🦠 A chemistry professor at the University of Bath is part of an international team working on a vaccine for Hantavirus, which has killed three people so far on a cruise ship, reports the BBC.

🤑 In April, the TaxPayers’ Alliance revealed its nationwide 20th annual Town Hall Rich List of local authority employees receiving more than £100,000 in total remuneration. It found:

  • There were at least 4,733 local authority employees receiving £100,000 or more in total remuneration in 2024-25.

  • This is a 21.2 per cent increase from 2023-24, representing 827 more people.
