It’s been a pretty long time since the New York Knickerbockers have found their way into the NBA finals. 27 years ago to be precise. It just so happens that following two consecutive series sweeps, the Knicks are back among the NBA’s elite, playing for the coveted Larry O’Brien trophy. A lot has changed since 1999. Aside from the fact that it’s the same two teams facing off, it’s practically a brand new world upstairs. In a way to celebrate, we put together a list of things that have changed over the years to give a peek into what the world looked like the last time the Knicks were in the Finals.
Not all of us down here are Knicks fans, but we do call New York City home. And when the Knicks do well, the Big Apple does well.
