Evernote’s yearly price went up by 80 FUCKING DOLLARS so after 12 faithful years of using them I’m quitting. Just finished exporting every single one of my notes to markdown which was actually not difficult to do at all ✅

Cool shell I found
Hits different in the summer.
It seems to me like training to speed-read is not going to do much to improve your comprehension. But still beneficial if you do a lot of skimming to find stuff?
Chin Music Press Rick and Bruce were friendly. The large letterpress machines were old enough to be my grandparents. Gorgeous CD player set-up (Robert Fripp’s A Blessing of Tears, btw)
Wrap washi tape around an old gift card instead of carrying a dispenser, and it solves most of what bugs me about bringing tape along. I get through the tape kind of quickly, because I use it to mark the end of a daily log, and every so often it tapes something together in a pinch. I used to carry a Karu-Cut cutter clip , a little Japanese clip-and-blade thing. It’s great for swapping rolls but…
Finished reading: STARGATE SG-1: Do No Harm Sg1-12 by Karen Miller 📚 IT WAS SO GOOD
I Eat the Stars: How to Live Fully and Beautifully in a Collapsing World by Sarah Wilson I’m normally interested in reflection on intentional living within large flawed systems, but I don’t know whether I can handle using my recreational reading time to get how it’s Too Late™️ to avoid the worst of our future. Even if this book promises to deliver clarity and empowerment afterward 📚
I’m a little late learning about Day One’s Daily Chat feature , where you can take advantage of an AI chat interface to more accessibly journal about whatever happened in your day. Sure, I see the well-intentioned vision here. You can be more consistent, even if you don’t have it in you in that moment to sit and write something down. Everyone’s different, but when I don’t have the energy to…
Went to Bunkado and bought another one of Dover’s reliably rich and beautiful books📚
Won Completionist+ and I feel nothing
When the moon is in taurus, I will let myself take a nap.
Currently reading: STARGATE SG-1: Sacrifice Moon Sg1-02 by Julie Fortune 📚 I love the way Julie writes O’Neill omggg
Found this on the street just now god is good
Came across some software gore on the 10
AI will never understand how it feels to be wrong about a fart
Some people bully their accommodating little chatbots around and in shows in their daily interactions with human beings
inordinately excited about H4 now being in Evernote
Rare Apple notification typo
Currently reading: STARGATE SG-1: Trial by Fire Sg1-01 by Sabine C. Bauer 📚 A new-to-me Stargate novelist, I’m curious about how different this one will be. I think it takes place in S7 in the timeline? Pretty big jump from the last one I read which appears to take place right after Carter’s Jolinar moment.
Finished reading: Stargate SG-1 The Morpheus Factor by Ashley McConnell 📚 The ending of this one was so abrupt that I almost feel like reading this book was a waste of my time!
I think 2014 was probably the year I started to prefer working in silence instead of with something on? 🎵
Big shoutout to WebScrobbler for letting me journal listening habits from outside of those big conventional streaming platforms. ❤️ 🎵 It’s not a lot, but they more than earned my small donation.
Small stupid thing but I try to do typing practice for about 5 minutes every day. It helps with accuracy and technique, but it’s primarily for my paranoia about muscular atrophy. Anyway, I made it through the beginner course today. After a pretty difficult couple of weeks, I’ll gladly take the win.
