This is not buying or investment advice. I’m simply reporting the data I’m seeing. Please do your own research and make your own decisions. Just because cards have increased in value up to this point, it doesn’t mean they will continue to do so.

I’m getting all of this data from either the Market Movers or Card Hedge platform. These are not my platforms, I’m simply a user and affiliate of them. If you want to do your own research, you can grab a free trial to Market Movers with code BALLCARDGENIUS. You’d also get 20% off of your membership forever if you wanted to continue once your trial has been completed. You can also grab a free trial for Card Hedge as well.

These tools aren’t perfect; no tool is. I’ve seen instances where a graded card was being included in the raw numbers, which might cause a misleading spike in value. So trust, but verify.

Somebody switched positions entirely and started throwing 100. Somebody else topped this week’s national hot sheet. And one card was quick to climb after its owner came off the 60-day injured list… proof that a chart doesn’t always wait for a big performance to move.

Gomez’s 2021 Bowman #CPA-AGO Chrome Prospect Auto (1st) is up 313% over the past year, with the last sale at $7.51 on 8/11 against a $4.31 average.

The chart is mostly flat for a full calendar year before an enormous, isolated spike right at the end… the kind of shape that usually means a player’s entire profile just changed.

Gomez’s did.

Once a well-regarded catching prospect who ranked as high as the Yankees’ No. 19 overall prospect, Gomez converted to pitching last year after his bat never developed at the plate. This week he made his 2026 season debut for Single-A Tampa, and it wasn’t subtle: he averaged nearly 100 mph on his fastball, touching or passing triple digits five times in just 15 pitches, and struck out a couple in his return outing. Shout out to Bildonger for the early jump on this one a few days ago. Again, I try to have most of the answers and tips, but whatever I miss is usually supplemented by some great callouts in the subscriber chat.
