Somehow It’s been one whole year since I moved into this studio and I’m finally starting to feel settled. I’ve got a little printer (thanks Anna), my stack of TVs, and a great standing work table (thanks Mom).
I’ve even been making new work, thinking about the life, work, and death of Ana Mendieta and her legacy to artists of my generation.
I will be showing the first iteration of this project, alongside some peers from Pratt, in a group show on view all summer long. The opening is next Thursday, June 27th from 6-8 pm.
As a bonus, my video All for Freedom and for Pleasure will be screening intermittently in the gallery’s window on 14th Street. If you happen to be passing by keep your eyes peeled.
