Never in my life have I felt what I felt this weekend in New York… The Knicks, the World Cup, the Puerto Rican parade, all wrapped in this perfect disgusting heat that we all just have to submit to. I feel that collective effervescence that is what makes us oh so very human. I feel so proud to be part of this city, and to be part of this little corner of it that we call Baby’s. The new self-titled record is as rambunctious as we’ve come to expect. 10 tracks of bona fide bangers satirising the current post-ironic endorsement of mainstream pop music, each song a singular cover of legendary tracks from Gorillaz, Eminem, Shakira, New Order, etc. Veronica Everheart on support: Saturday will be an exposure of what pop music can really be. - Oscar
