you know how much i love a list/note/reminder!

i’m asking you to contribute something from your desk, kitchen table or workspace to a little show i’m curating about the messy, mundane things that help us stay on task, remember what matters, process, prioritize, or simply get through the day.

your grocery list? yes!

a doodle from work? yes!

a refrigerator note? yes!

something you feel like you should recycle but can’t quite throw away? please send it for the show!

emily dickinson "the gorgeous nothings”
old list i found in a bag
from “pedagogy as process” by lauren williams and swati piparsania from paper street press zine

think: lists, quick sketches, diagrams, personal records, tiny explanations…

you don’t need to be an artist to participate in this show. handwriting is beautiful to me, and i think these little records are windows into how we live, work, think and create.

you can snail mail me the original or submit a photo/scan.

contribute here!

my snail mail address is:
Avery Williamson
PO BOX 973036
YPSILANTI, MI 48197

you can share up to 25 items!

if you send me any old list, i will be delighted :) digital contributions will be printed by me at my local library and included in the show.

FAQs about the show. please let me know what i haven’t yet answered!

the show will hopefully happen in september at soft projects in ypsilanti, mi. more info coming soon.

everyone who contributes will be included.

please join this project and send something this week. share with your friends too!

STUDIO REMINDERS: think about it but don’t overthink it, structure with freedom, it’s OK if it’s not for you, simple materials, do some looking, do nothing

Thanks for reading my newsletter and supporting my work! This post is public so feel free to share it.
