Hello, lovely reader!

I hope you and those you love are happy, safe, and well. I'm praying for God's peace and love to rest on the world, and on you, too, especially in these troubled times.

First, thank you so much for everyone who prayed or my husband, who was very ill with gastroenteritis which caused an autoimmune flare-up. The symptoms did gradually resolve, though it took until yesterday. He wants more time to recover before travelling again, so I’ll be staying in Bulgaria a week longer than intended, until July 2.

I’m hoping I can get the kittens currently living in the house outside by then, but theres been yet another change — extra kittens! More on that in the pet news section.

I’ve been keeping busy with house renovations, weed whacking, and cat care, but yesterday I did something different. My cherry tree had a beautiful big crop, but it’s rained heavily, and I noticed they were splitting and going mouldy. I needed to do something with them straight away or I’d get nothing but a couple of handfuls eaten fresh. So I decided to make and bottle cherry syrup using my Instant Pot. It was an interesting process, especially when the juice suddenly went from a simmer to boiling over before I could get to the pot.

Cherry juice everywhere! Then I accidentally knocked the overflow collector off my Instant Pot — twice as much cherry juice everywhere! If you’ve read my story Imperfectly Proverbs 31 where the klutz-in-the-kitchen heroine makes such a botch of berry pie making that her kitchen looked like a murder scene, that was nothing to the mess I made! Thankfully the Instant Pot and I both survived, ten 250 ml/ 8 oz jars of cherry syrup are safely preserved, and the juice stains on the walls will surely fade with time. I hope… Next up is mint syrup and lemon balm syrup. At least if I make a mess with those, they won’t stain things so badly!

And on to the book news!

My dear friend Alexa Verde has just launched a new set of five previously published suspenseful Christian romances, all with a theme of mistaken identity! To survive, they'll need to trust in God and trust each other. But how can you trust someone who isn't who they seem to be? Mistaken Identity Romances is an excellent set, but don't buy it yet as it launched at full price and should reduce to a discounted price soon. On the other hand, if you have Kindle Unlimited, she'd love for you to borrow and read it now!

Here are the new f-r-e-e additions for my to-be-read library this week! No-cost this morning on Amazon but prices do change so be sure to check before hitting the buy button! All should be clean and faith-friendly, but as I haven’t read any of these stories yet, I hope I haven’t missed anything I wouldn’t normally choose to share!

CLEAN & CHRISTIAN ROMANCES

This group promo includes a selection of sweet and clean romances, each available on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited. Includes my ebook sets This Can’t Be Love (antagonism to love), From Friends to Forever (friendship to love), Chapel Cove Romances (linked standalone small-town romances), and This Sunflower Summer (linked romance/ family saga stories).

Though the organiser specified that all books should be genuinely clean, I can’t say for sure they all are, so please choose carefully! And if you don't have Kindle Unlimited and would like to find out more, plus get a no-cost trial to read as many books as you want provided they’re available in KU, click here.

Well, its been all go here with the cats. One of the cats, Big Tiger, came for breakfast with his eye swollen shut, and thankfully he's now almost tame so he let me look at it. Removing the nasty spear grass seed lodged up under his eyelid and some antibiotic eye drops fixed that. Black Tom, the new boss tomcat and father of this year's crop of kittens, was a beautiful handsome cat just a few months ago and now looks a grizzled battle scarred veteran. He has an abscess on his neck, and I think the vet will be needed for him. The sooner we can get that boy “fixed” the better, but the vet still isn't set up for that. We're praying he gets his clinic open soon!

Little Girl's four kittens are still living in the house, growing well, healthy and happy. I'm taking them outside a couple of times a day under the watchful supervision of both me and their mother. They have so many different places they sleep. At night I usually find LG and all the kittens want to cuddle up beside me. In the daytime, they're mostly in the kitchen, sleeping everywhere from empty boxes to the kindling bucket. Here are three of them, Maxie, Otter, and Stripe aka Pickle, in a small wooden box on the bottom shelf of the cat care trolley, sleeping on baby cat milk, feeding bottles, and the kitten food they refuse to eat, wanting whatever mum has!

And another cat family have moved into our garden, a mother with five kittens! Ack! An extra complication and soooo not what we need.

Cafe Cat is named because she spends a lot of time at the village cafe, but she officially lives with a neighbour two doors north. The kittens are adorable and very shy. Mom is far from shy — way too assertive and a bully who pushes our cats away from the food. I’ve set up a separate feeding station for them on the front porch, and I’m really hoping hubby doesn’t let them into the house!

This week's randomly chosen ebook winners are Ellie, Anita, June, Doris, and Megan. If your first name or the name in your email address matches one of the winners' names in the list above, reply letting me know which of my solo ebooks (sorry, sets are not included) you'd like as a free Bookfunnel download. You can see them all here. His Tender Mercy and Heart in Hiding aren't yet released, so if you opt for one of these, you'll be added to a wait list and get a copy when your choice is finally reader-ready. This week's give.away — five subscribers who click any link in this email by Sunday, June 21, 2026 will be randomly chosen to win their choice of my ebooks and will be named in next week's newsletter.

Until next week, I'm praying you and those you love are happy and healthy, with many precious moments of peace and joy to brighten your days.

Blessings, and happy reading,

I pray that God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus! Philippians 4:19 CEV
