Unlike automakers that have been bump-pricing their entire lineup, Ford is swimming against the tide and slashes the price of one of its most expensive and powerful trucks, the F-150 Raptor. The automaker is cutting roughly $4,000 off the base price. However, it is not all good news.

Ford will reportedly sell the 2027 F-150 Raptor for a starting price of $75,995 before destination fees, which is a $4,010 drop from the 2026 model year’s price. The Dearborn firm is making this move to match the pricing of the Ram 1500 RHO.

With the $2,795 destination fee included, both start at the exact same price point: $77,790. However, the lower starting price of the F-150 Raptor comes with a catch: Ford removed several features from the base Equipment Group 800A package to achieve it.

This means that the base F-150 Raptor will be offered in 800A form without the 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen Unleashed sound system, the head-up display, or the heated rear seats. Customers will have to pay extra if they want those.

They can find them grouped in the Equipment Group 801A package, which adds an extra $4,120 to the final price, taking it all the way to $79,115 and basically wiping out the savings for the base variant, as reported by CarsDirect.

So, the F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 RHO are offered for identical pricing, but there is a huge power gap between the two. The Raptor is powered by the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, producing 450 horsepower (456 metric horsepower) and 510 pound-feet (691 Newton meters) of torque.

For the same money, the Ram 1500 RHO comes with the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six that pumps out 540 horsepower (548 metric horsepower) and 521 pound-feet (706 Newton meters) of torque.

While the Ford takes 5.3 seconds to run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph), the Ram is 0.7 seconds quicker. The Ford’s top speed is limited to 120 mph (193 kph), while the Ram stops at 118 mph (190 kph), which is not much of a difference.

There is no info about any mods regarding the Ford F-150 Raptor R, which means it is still much pricier than the Ram 1500 SRT TRX. The Raptor R starts at $114,420. For the money, customers get the supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8, which puts out 720 horsepower.

In the meantime, the Ram 1500 SRT TRX’s supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 throws 777 horsepower to the ground, making it the most powerful internal combustion engine currently on the market. The 2027 TRX starts at $99,995, which puts a solid gap between it and the most powerful Ford truck.

Raise your hands, those who see Ford cutting the price of the Raptor down to $99,995 to match that of the TRX. Yeah, I don’t think so, either!
