Where most celebrities are charting superyachts or even megayachts to pass the summer holiday in a different place, surrounded by the luxury they're accustomed with and working on their tans, Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman put an educational spin to her summer vacation. She recently wrapped a cruise to Iceland, as she revealed on her social media.
First of all, Nicole Kidman is not the kind of celebrity who's constantly on her Insta, keeping fans up to speed with every move she makes. She posts rarely and always on stuff that she cares deeply about, whether that's a new film she has coming out, a partnership with a fashion brand, or as it turns out, a very special family vacation.
So, obviously, her post about her recent cruise couldn't have gone by unnoticed.
"Beautiful country, trip of a lifetime," she wrote in a caption to a carousel of photos, tagging the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and thanking them "for being so kind to my family and guests." She added, "We love you Iceland!!"
Reports from the local media reveal that Kidman was on what we'd call a "girls' trip," accompanies by her two daughters, her sister, and some friends. She doesn't go into details, neither in the caption nor in the photos included, but she does share through the latter a glimpse into what life onboard was like during the cruise.
The same photos are the only clues she gives as to the ship she was on. One media outlet and many eagle-eyed fans are convinced she was on Evrima, which is the only Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection ship to do the Iceland itinerary and the only one to offer a private hot tub on the terrace of a suite.
The assumption is that Kidman stayed in the ultra-exclusive Owner's Suite, which comes with a vast private terrace with a hot tub, 24-hour concierge service, and other high-end amenities not available to the common folk in less premium cabins. The Owner's Suite is also the biggest offer available, as you'd expect, with 1,001 square feet (93 square meters) of living space.
A stay in the Owner's Suite ranges between $40,000 and $80,000 per person, depending on the duration of the stay. From Kidman's post, it seems like it was money well spent.
Not that the other options on Evrima are any less premium, mind you. Designed more like a megayacht and less like a cruise ship, this is one of the finest, nicest, and most sophisticated options on the market right now for a true once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Evrima is 624 feet (190 meters) long and has an interior volume of 25,400GT spread across ten decks. Its smaller size, compared to other cruise liners, offers it access to smaller ports, while the Icelandic itinerary to which it keeps ensures that availability is always exclusive.
Evrima offers exclusive services and premium amenities, including a full spa taking up an entire deck, several restaurants, including a Michelin-starred restaurant that costs extra, an onboard shop, several hosting areas, and a full onboard gym with classes, a Pilates studio, and an outside pool area.
Accommodation onboard is limited to just 298 passengers across 149 suites, which means a 1-to-1 passenger-crew ratio – the highest in the crew industry. Evrima is designed to "enchant at every turn" with its design and amenities, but also with the exploration opportunities it offers.
It definitely won over Nicole Kidman. Her post isn't a spon-con but, if it were, it would have been the best celebrity endorsement since her viral ad for AMC. IYKYK.
Available below is a look at Evrima and one of the Signature Suites, the second type of accommodation available. Who doesn't enjoy some vicarious living, am I right?
