Well, happy 2026!
Another year has passed. My oldest passed his Driver’s test and will get his license in Feb. Not ready for that. My middle son is now taller than me and will soon be taller than both his brother and his father. Not ready for that either. And my daughter is not quite a teenager but starting to get some of the sass. Never ready for that.
Rehearsals for Cheaper by the Dozen have begun and are going well. The kids in the cast are so sweet even though I play a pretty mean character. I also auditioned for a musical, but evidently they couldn’t get enough men so they had to postpone the debut.
Jackson and Kayleigh both got cast in Seussical so that should be fun and Spenser and I are trying to get to the gym more. I miss kickboxing but I know my schedule just wouldn’t really allow it right now and the cost is too high if you can’t be there at least 3 times a week.
Finals are next week and while I’m glad the school year is half over, I have to transition from the more fun part of public speaking to the more bookish part of communication theory and try to make it more fun, so that’s on my to-do list. Maybe I’ll get some time during finals to work.
Tonight though, I have to turn in. It’s another early and long day tomorrow, so enjoy a book from the recommendations below.
