Chapter 9: The Caught-on-Camera Sabotage
Logan
I couldn’t stop shaking.
Even hours after the public humiliation in the shadowed estate corridor, my skin still burned with the memory of it. Vance’s dominant, wood-smoke scent clung to every single thread of my charcoal shirt like a physical brand, and the hyper-sensitive walls of my puckered hole refused to stop leaking.
Every time I shifted my weight, the cool drag of the fluid reminded me of my total surrender. The pack estate didn’t feel like a luxury mansion anymore; it felt like a trap slowly closing its iron jaws around my throat.
While Vance was pulled into another high-stakes, closed-door council meeting with the Head Alpha to discuss the border tensions, I slipped away from the main ballroom. I couldn’t stand the hungry, assessing glares of the regular alphas for another second. But more than that, I needed answers. I needed to understand the political game my stepbrother was playing, and why a rival like Damien felt bold enough to corner me.
The private administrative office on the second floor was supposed to be restricted, an off-limits zone for standard pack members. Earlier in the evening, I had noticed several eastern ridge enforcers coming and going from the hallway, whispering in hushed, urgent tones. When I reached the heavy oak door, a quick twist of the handle revealed it was completely unlocked. Stupid of them. Or incredibly deliberate.
I stepped inside, my heart hammering a frantic rhythm against my ribs, and immediately began to search the space. The room was cold, lit only by the pale moonlight filtering through the high windowpanes.
I moved systematically, tossing aside papers, pulling open the heavy desk drawers, and checking the cluttered bookshelves.
Nothing. Just legal pack documents and territory maps.
Then, as I reached to adjust a heavy leather-bound ledger on the upper shelf, something caught the light. A tiny, silver reflection behind a row of decorative books. My breath hitched in my throat as I reached in, my fingers brushing against cold, metallic plastic.
It was a wireless surveillance camera. Its tiny, high-definition lens was pointed with absolute precision directly at the center of the massive mahogany desk in the middle of the room.
My stomach dropped into a bottomless pit of cold dread.
Driven by a sudden, frantic panic, I began tearing the office apart. Within five minutes, I had uncovered two more hidden devices. One was cleverly tucked into the dark shadow of the corner crown molding, and the other was wired directly into the brass light fixture hanging over the workspace.
Every single one of them was calibrated to capture the exact same area. They were all aimed at the perfect, unobstructed spot for gathering compromising material.
This wasn’t a random security measure. This was calculated political espionage. This was Damien’s work.
He didn’t just want to undermine Vance’s authority; he wanted absolute, undeniable leverage. And what better weapon to destroy the pack’s ruthless Enforcer than live, uncensored footage of him breaking every boundary of nature, secretly claiming and breeding his own stepbrother? The realization hit me like a physical punch to the solar plexus, knocking the air clean out of my lungs.
Every private, heated moment we had shared in this territory wasn’t hidden. It could have been watched. My moans, my tears, the humiliating way my body opened for him—all of it could be archived on some rival alpha’s server.
My breathing grew ragged, my gasps echoing loudly in the quiet space. The air in the office suddenly felt entirely too thick, heavily saturated with the lingering pheromones of the wolves who used this room. It was a suffocating mix of Vance’s dominant presence and the raw, aggressive musk of the eastern enforcers who had occupied the desk earlier. The dense concentration of alpha authority triggered something deep and volatile within my compromised anatomy.
The heat wasn’t gone. The confrontation in the hallway hadn’t cured the fever; it had only stoked the embers.
