We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lauryn Pena a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lauryn, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Writer’s block happens to the best of us. When I get into a block I will watch a movie, read a book, or read an article that is written by someone I respect, and that sort of cultivates, grows, and inspires me to push through whatever project I’m working on. I once read that Beethoven would take walks everyday, and he would carry with him empty music sheets in case he got inspiration. That inspired me to do the same whenever I need to clear my head or get over a writing slump.
