I get it. Life is crazy complicated. Sometimes we want the ease of a frictionless thing. There are times when someone asks me to do JUST ONE MORE SMALL ITTY BITTY THING makes my head want to fall off and bounce across the hardwood. Hell, just navigating menus on my bank account makes my head swim.
The thing is frictionless doesn’t always mean better. It’s been my experience that the set-it-and-forget-it folks benefit from us forgetting about whatever it was and that causes a huge mess down the road. The Autoship order you no longer need that you have to unpack. The subscription you meant to cancel that rolled over and charged your credit card double. The login that you forgot the damn password for the billionth time.
All those little misses add up to friction.
You trust me to give you escape from this sort of mundane shit. Trust that I have made buying direct from Stories with Hart as simple as possible. There’s been a steep learning curve. Tech shit isn'tmy zone of genius. I and many indie authors like me, grind because this is for us and our readers.
1. Better deals available. I can bundle up the short stories, side quests, prequels and offer you everything at a discount. And I do. Often.
2. More money goes to the author. When I sell a book on Amazon at $0.99 I get 35 cents. Selling that same book for $0.99 on my online store means I get to keep almost THREE TIMES as much. Because I don’t need to share a cut with the retailer you know you’re supporting a small business, not a billionaire.
3. Buy an entire series with one click. No more wondering about reading order, you have them racked, stacked and delivered via bookfunnel just like your thanks for signing up gifts.
4. Early releases. Hate waiting for the next book in the series? Since I don’t need to manually move around the release date on several different platforms, I can load the final file up, lock it in, and send it out as soon as it’s ready.
5. Exclusive reads. There are some stories I’m unwilling to share on the retailers like “Witch Way to Alaska,” “Midlife Passions and Predators,” and “Barely There.” They will always be available first on Stories with Hart.
