This past week has been mostly about one thing: edits.
I’ve been spending a lot of time at my computer, working my way through the final edits for book four in my Cooking Club Murder Mysteries. At this stage of a book, it feels as though my world consists of me and all those words I’ve read so many times I wonder if they’re actually words anymore.
So a quiet day came at exactly the right time.
Nothing terribly exciting. No big plans. Just a change of scenery, a little time away from the computer, and a chance to recharge.
Sometimes that’s all it takes.
And now I’m back at my desk with fresh eyes and, hopefully, a slightly less tired brain.
A note from a Small-Town Detective Dog (from the Cooking Club Murder Mysteries)
Apparently recharging means going someplace without me.
I’ll be discussing this with management.
