Dewhurst’s latest album, Avicennia, features bassist and composer Cameron Undy alongside drummer Alex Inman-Hislop with special guest saxophonist Lisa Parrott. Inspired by wanderings through the streets, open spaces, and swampy tidal waterways of Sydney’s inner west, the album blends elements of jazz, roots, improvisation, and contemporary polyrhythm.
