A Lived Experience
What ignites me most about deep space is the filaments, the long rivers of nebulous substance that weave galaxies into superclusters. Filaments cover vast expanses of territory, extending through multiple constellations, so having a fixed longitude and latitude that would lead to a specific astrological interpretation is not possible. Composed of gases, plasma, and dark matter, filaments are a connecting medium. They reflect our cardiovascular system, fascia, chakra, and meridian systems. The common denominator in all these systems is cohesion.
At their essence, filaments emanate deep memory codes that evolve potentiality. Even though it is unlikely we have the language to describe the experience, filaments offer direction and lead us to a sense of purpose. They represent primordial knowing, unfolding in the dark, opening pathways to our fullest becoming.
While filaments might not be in our everyday consciousness, they are embedded in the celestial and terrestrial web of connection we have with self and one another. They represent the nebulous float of our lives, the mystic flow of what gets us from one place to another, physically and metaphysically.
An underlying theme of deep space astrology for these next two weeks reflects the function of filaments: to be present to the nebulous flow of connection. Floating fluidly, free of care and worry, and seeped in trust, opens new possibilities and increases access to higher consciousness. The qualities of patience, wonder, and discernment help with the parallel functions of expanding and grounding.
Distance does not matter where love is involved, and the words are not there to describe how filaments reflect our experience of connection and inclusion, of letting go, of feeling love and being loved, and of moving along our own pathway of becoming.
As you will see below, the Vela Supercluster and its filament are now connected to our Sun/Earth/Moon. Personally, I feel a strong, vibrant resonance with filaments. Maybe it is because of my Aquarian nature, which, at its heart, is about connecting one with All.

Consider the star power sanctifying us at this Full Moon: The Sun, at 14 degrees Sagittarius, is conjunct the Great Attractor, three Black Holes, and two Binary X-ray pulsars. Our Sun trines the very distant Sednoid, Leleakuhonua.
The Earth/Moon, at the opposite degree of 14 Gemini, opposes the Great Attractor, and is conjunct a binary pulsar. The Sun/Earth/Moon square Vela Supercluster, and the Spiral Galaxy NGC 4151, the Eye of Sauron, and a pulsar.
We are being supercharged with energies that invite us to:
o Extend our vision
o Make room for this expansion
o Pause, and discern next steps based on this expanded consciousness

The Great Attractor (GA), a highly magnetic cosmic body, is associated with four main galaxy superclusters. Just imagine the amount of energy that is concentrated on the Sun now. The magnetism of this fixed galactic point bends light, offering a fresh perspective that takes us out of judgment and into neutral territory.
The GA is located in the Zone of Avoidance, where its activity cannot be observed. At the mid-degree of Sagittarius, the GA invites us to trust yet verify. As we open to new possibilities, we embrace the unknown, anchoring ourselves through inner resilience. These energies are about partnering with life as confident and capable conscious beings, open and receptive, despite not knowing.
A Stellar Mass Black Hole, GRP J2655-40, is also conjunct the Sun. This body emits rotating super luminous energy that exceeds the speed of light. Another Stellar Mass Black Hole, MAXI J1659-152, is five to six billion years old — consider this as ancestry — and has the tightest orbit between the Black Hole and companion star observed so far. A third Stellar Mass Black hole, 4U 1630-47, is conjunct the Sun and displays super active outbursts with high luminosity. Two binary pulsars beat rhythms that allow for greater alignment.
Perceptive patience and grounding on Sacred Earth help us align in cosmic synchronicity. These bodies at 13/14 degrees of Sagittarius help us trust intuition, and at the 14/15 degree, help us ground through practical actions based on sensate inner knowing.
Two trines smooth our path during this high-powered time. The Sun trines Leleakuhonua, the Earth/Moon trines Logos. The Sun connection helps us understand the new pathways arising from collective coordination. The Earth/Moon, with its grounding emotional capacities, helps us expand perception.
The Sun/Earth/Moon opposition squares the Vela Supercluster, which lies behind the Milky Way and is also located in the Zone of Avoidance. Vela Supercluster represents the depth of the unseen, the embryological stage of our continual becoming. This supercluster exudes presence where form has yet to take shape. It is a rich experience of potentiality. Having the power and capacity of the Shapley Supercluster, Vela also directs galactic movements.
Additionally, at mid Virgo, squaring the Sun/Earth/Moon is a spiral galaxy with a Supermassive Black Hole at its center, the size of 500 million Suns. Again, please let this cumulative star power sink in; we are experiencing massive, expansive, deepening consciousness. Known as NGC 4151, aka the Eye of Sauron, this cosmic body serves as an astronomical laboratory for studying the dynamic interplay between galaxies and black holes.
In his book The Soul of the Sky, pioneering Galactic Astrologer Philip Sedgwick writes that delays in the appearance of radiation from this body can reflect a delay in processing. The implication is to give oneself time to assess next steps, especially since this galaxy greatly expands our view. We can take time to acclimate to the increase in consciousness and then choose from there.
Closer to us, we have the Saturn/Neptune/Borasisi conjunction opposite the SuperGalactic Center and Kagara. Saturn conjunct Neptune in Aries gives us a chance to recalibrate the structure of our life – more open to the invisible realms, more open to our multidimensionality, more open to the power of being a spiritual being within a human form.
Borasisi reflects the entire evolutionary process from primal to animal to rational to spiritual, a complete integration of who we are and can be.
In my guided imagery work, the journeys to the Supergalactic Center reflect an experience of being enveloped in acceptance on a grand, expansive scale. Kagara shakes things up in a freeing and open way.
If we ground as we expand, -- that dual intersection of vertical and horizontal, and if we let go of what was and who we were, and beam in the presence of ourselves as cosmic beings, our hearts awaken to Universal Consciousness.
It might feel like our world is falling apart – indeed, it is with the old ways dying and the new birthing. Yet, superclusters are the most significantly known coherent structures in the Universe. Consciously connecting with the Vela Supercluster and its filament, and with all the other planets and deep-space objects blessing us now, can solidify a direct experience that all is well, despite the peaks and valleys of the current quantum leap in our never-ending process of metamorphosis.
