The crown jewel of Florida’s Gold Coast.

Flocking to Palm Beach to escape the harsh winters, New Yorkers mainly file along the Gold Coast of Florida, specifically, The Eau Resort and Spa. This 309-room property in Manalapan, Florida is a must-see destination. On the website, the spa describes itself as “an intimate ocean retreat; a breath of fresh air. Modern, playful and indulgent. Situated on the sweeping back drop of Florida’s gold coast and with the Atlantic as its backdrop, Eau Palm Beach invokes the relaxed glamour of America’s first resort destination; a chance to refresh, disconnect and rediscover time.”
Situated on a private beach along seven acres of oceanfront, guests are welcomed with champagne, coconut water (in real coconuts), and are able to take in the breathtaking ocean views with lush gardens. There are spacious guest rooms which offer private balconies with ocean, pool and gardens views. Suites have separate bedroom, living room and two bathrooms and the club level rooms include a personal concierge, four indulgent meal periods in the Eric Villency-designed Club Lounge, unlimited featured beer and wine selections, and daily pressing service. The Lanai Terrace Suites are ground level rooms overlooking the ocean with easy access to two large pools. Lanai Terrace suites have separate bedroom and living room and two bathrooms and feature a private patio, perfect for enjoying a sunrise breakfast.
Designed by Jonathan Adler, Palm Beach takes in this crown jewel located roughly nine miles south along the coast from Palm Beach's tony retail corridor, Worth Avenue. Fun Fact - The Spa is one of only two Forbes Five-Star resorts in Palm Beach and eight in Florida.
The Eau Spa
Eau Spa is 1 of 7 Forbes Five-Star spas in Florida and 1 of 51 in the United States. This 42,000 square foot Spa has outdoor gardens lined with bromeliads and palms and have tents shading the lounge chairs and day beds surrounded by fountains. You can swing in a hanging chair over a reflecting pool to continue the bliss post-treatment. There are separate lounges for men and women, and inside the spa, there are large hot pools for soaking and steam and sauna rooms. It's a total destination spa, and is worth booking even if you're not a guest at the hotel. I would look into the Spa Packages listed below in the three pillars of the Spa “Pause, Play, Perfect.”

If you just want to escape for a day at the spa, you can choose to relax in the lush, open-air Self-Centered Garden or soak in the bath lounges, which features a steam room, heated loungers, sauna, oversized Jacuzzi and cascading rain shower.
Owner of The Eau
Larry Ellison, purchased the resort from the Lewis Trust Group in August 2024 for at least $277.34 million. The resort was previously owned by the Lewis family since 2003, when it was rebranded from the Ritz-Carlton. Ellison plans to improve the resort, but the current team of hoteliers will remain on staff. In addition to co-founding Oracle, Ellison has been involved in a variety of luxury hospitality ventures. His portfolio includes the Four Seasons Resort Lanai and Sensei Lanai in Hawaii; Nobu Ryokan Malibu, Nobu Hotel Palo Alto and Sensei Porcupine Creek in California; and the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe in Nevada.
