Before we delve into this month’s travel posts, I wanted to share some exciting personal news: my debut book, Counting Penguins, has been announced and is now available to pre-order.
The book tells the story of my season at Port Lockroy in Antarctica, where I spent three months living among a small team of humans and around a thousand gentoo penguins.
It will be published by DK in the UK on 22 October 2026 and in the US on 3 November 2026. Pre-orders make a huge difference, so if you’d like to support the book, you can order a copy here.
