Happy July! I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July with family and friends and that you made lots of memories. Mine was spent lighting sparklers, eating popsicles and hot dogs and watching my kids splash in kiddy pools and jump in bounce houses until their hearts were content. It was also a nice weekend break from cooking in the kitchen and instead just grilling and having potlucks!
Today though, we are back to the grind of everyday life and finding joy in the mundane. Would fun moments like the 4th of July even be so fun and memorable if it weren’t for the regular days that take up most of our time? While it’s great to look forward to special events, it’s the everyday little moments that are what make life truly special and are what we really cherish as we get older. The waking up to our same morning coffee, folding a load of clean clothes while watching a good show, and enjoying a home cooked meal at the same table over and over and over again. Enjoy the little things friends!
