As we begin 2026, we want to wish you a very Happy New Year!

This past year brought to us an important consolidation of our work as the translational research that we have funded is advancing positively with one project having positive in-vivo data and another one in FDA approval processes.

Science takes time and capital and we hope that in 2026 we continue to push for more abundance in women’s health R&D.

Advancing Women’s Health Research & R&D

This year we supported multiple research initiatives focused on reproductive longevity, fertility, menopause, and preventative women’s health. Several of these projects reached critical milestones and are now progressing toward clinical and translational stages laying the groundwork for therapies, diagnostics, and platforms that did not exist before AthenaDAO.

Our First Academic Spin-Out

We supported the formation of our first academic spin-out, LifeAhead, a menopause forecasting company born directly from AthenaDAO-funded research. This marks a major step in our mission to turn early science into real companies that serve women globally.

Decentralized Clinical Trial Launch

We initiated the first decentralized clinical trial with Ovul.AI, creating new pathways for data collection and accelerating how women’s health studies can be designed and executed.

Education & Community Growth

In 2025 we launched the Fertility 101 Course, released our report on Data and AI in women’s health, hosted and sponsored multiple Reproductive Longevity AI Hackathons, and continued expanding our scientific and builder community through events, workshops, and collaborative research programs. We also launched the first AI agent for women’s health, Lovelace.

Demo Day

Our first Demo Day showcased emerging companies and research programs from within the AthenaDAO ecosystem, highlighting our end-to-end ecosystem spanning FemTech, Biotech, and ReproTech.

Launching AthenaBIO

We launched AthenaBIO, the first capital for scientific assets in women’s health.

As a reminder, through four cohorts, AthenaDAO has funded around $1.5M in science, supported six labs, seeded two start-ups, 10 fellowships and built a global network through over 100 in-person events. We have backed a program developing AI-driven drug discovery for menopause and supported the spin-out company working on a small molecule therapeutic.

Next year, we will double down on:

• Scaling our data and AI infrastructure

• Our small molecule for fertility being brought to market while testing more agile and lean ways to make Pharma happen for women’s health

• Collaborations with other research organizations

All while continuing to:

• Expand our R&D portfolio

• Support more spin-outs and translational programs

• Grow our global network of researchers, founders, and partners
