fwiw I've personally seen DMs from 2 of the 4 leading AI CEOs saying roughly the same thing it's not that there's no willingness to slowdown / pause it's a coordination problem, so we need governments to enforce it

If you want to monitor the situation more closely, MIRI has a newish Substack called StopWatch where they discuss daily developments in the field (it’s also a podcast). I’ve added it to my blogroll.
