As the Girl Turns · In My Orbit with Jennifer Oliver O'Connell

It’s been a whirlwind of a week, and like many, I enter this weekend with a somberness.

On Wednesday, we all received the horrible news that Charlie Kirk, CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was felled by an assassin’s bullet which hit him in the jugular. Kirk was at a university in Utah, mounting one of his Prove Me Wrong events where he heard questions and engaged in debate with students. Something that is neither controversial or adversarial—except to that cretin who pulled the trigger.

While aid was given at the scene and Kirk was airlifted to a local hospital, that fatal blow would not be overcome. It was reported around 3:40 p.m. that Kirk had died.

Between the coverage on Kirk’s death and his tremendous impact, and the next day’s commemoration of the 24th anniversary of 9/11, it feels like I’ve been through a meat grinder. But, the writing gets done, and here are some of my thoughts and coverage concerning both.

Violence Against Conservatives Is Nothing New; After the Murder of Charlie Kirk, It Must Be Stopped

I did a radio hit with Mike Ferguson in the Morning on St. Louis’ NewsTalk 101.9/94.1. About 20 minutes and it was a substantive discussion.
